DOS has remained consistent in some ways over the last (nearly) 40 years, but a lot has changed under the hood and programs were sometimes only written to work on very specific hardware and a very specific setup.

There are 3 tables in this game, with only the first table playable in the shareware version.The update of these MS-DOS games comes from a project called eXoDOS, which has expanded over the years in the realm of collecting DOS games for easy playability on modern systems to tracking down and capturing, as best as can be done, the full context of DOS games – from the earliest simple games in the first couple years of the IBM PC to recently created independent productions that still work in the MS-DOS environment. The Windows 95 demo's installer is 16-bit and will not run on 64-bit Windows, but the game is ready to play in the Win95MadDemo folder. Up to four players can take turns playing (only one player in the demo). Players start with only one life in the demo (though extra lives can still be earned during gameplay). The shareware demo only supports a resolution of 640×480, but 800×6×768 are available in the full version. As in most modern pinball machines, the player is given missions to achieve (selected at random by shooting the left ramp) for bonus points.
The game has realistic graphics, sound, physics and gameplay. Full Tilt! 2 Pinball is the sequel to the original Full Tilt! Pinball (best known for its Space Cadet table) with new tables to play.
